The First Market: A Look Back

Hello Basketeers!

What an eyeopening day, I learned SO much. It became obvious what changes I needed to implement for future markets, including small tweaks like comfortable shoes but will I learn? Probably not. The biggest thing I took from the day was how important it was for me to engage with people directly, allowing them to hold the pieces and experience the unique textures first hand. I suppose there's certain things that just don't translate online.

I'm currently in the works of securing additional props for the table. One thing I observed was that there wasn't enough height to the set up, the display felt quite low and I feel that bringing larger scale display items will elevate it further. I can assure you though, they will be pink...

It's clear that these markets are essential for my growth, both mentally and creatively. Speaking with an engaged, passionate, and reactive audience gave me a deeper understanding on how these pieces are perceived and how they are interacted with. From it, I have so many ideas screaming to be actualised. I'm eager to create them and see how they speak in the real world. So keep your eyes over this way!
